Difference between Carnival and Festival 

 

The difference is that a carnival is a public and popular party of a comunity in where people diguise or use masks, also there are carriages that go to one place to an other and also there are dances and prizes.
But in a festival there are presentations of different types like gastronomy, music,etc...
Normally the festivals are in a specific place like a theater or a parck and some times the festivals have like a rol of competition.
